Welcome to SeMoLa

Conceiving theoretical models to explain the causal link between (dysfunctional) neural activity and (distorted) behavioral phenotypes is the main goal of SeMoLa (“flour” in Italian). As flour is one of the most basic ingredients for worldwide recipes, SeMoLa aims at constituting a simple but solid knowledge reference to be exploited by the scientific community. The main focus of SeMoLa is the ability to organize sensory input and motor output, which is crucial to efficiently interact with the environment. SeMoLa’s main goals are:

  • to validate theoretical models of sensory-motor integration
  • to improve in-depth knowledge of pathophysiological sensory-motor processing
  • to understand the neural mechanisms of treatment-induced changes
